Day 01. ARRIVE DELHI
Arrive late evening in Delhi where our representative will meet you outside the customs area and escort you to your hotel. He will then assist you in checking in at the hotel, The Oberoi.

Delhi, having been a capital to seven different cultures over the course of its history, is a fascinating fusion of them all. The art and architecture of the city reflects its ancient and multifaceted heritage. A Hindu fortress, a Mughal tomb, an Islamic minaret and mosque and a Bahai temple all within minutes of each other give an idea of the cultural richness of the city.

Day 02. IN DELHI
After an early breakfast today we will take you for a tour of Old and New Delhi.

Old Delhi -A visit to the fortified old city of Delhi with its crumbling walls, 17th century havelis (mansions) and narrow galis (lanes) teeming with people and commerce, is a journey to another world. We will drive past the majestic Red Fort built of red sandstone from 1639 - 1648 AD by Emperor Shah Jehan and then visit Jama Masjid - the biggest mosque of Asia built in 1650 AD by Shah Jehan. After the visit we will also enjoy a rickshaw ride through the busy streets of Chandni Chowk (the silver market of the bygone era). This will be followed by a visit to Rajghat - memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi.

New Delhi -India's capital city is a medley of history and culture juxtaposed with the new and the brash. We will visit the Humayun's Tomb - the mausoleum of Emperor Humayun, followed by a visit to Qutab Minar built by Qutab-ud-din Aibek. Drive past the secretarial offices and the Parliament house. Visit the India Gate - war memorial and Connaught Place, the city center of New Delhi.

Red Fort Delhi Day 03. DELHI - AGRA (131 MILES)
After an early breakfast, drive on to Agra, stopping enroute at Sikandra, the mausoleum of Emperor Akbar. It is built of red sandstone inlaid with marble. Upon reaching the city of Agra, you will check into Hotel Amarvilas.

Enjoy the luxury of your own private view of the greatest monument to love. The Oberoi Amarvilas is located 600 meters from the Taj Mahal. All the rooms, suites, lobby, bar and the lounge offer breathtaking views of the monument. This will be followed by a visit to the Agra fort, built by Emperor Akbar. The maze of its courtyards, mosque and private chambers echoes the story of the Mughal Empire. The view of the Taj from this fort is spectacular.

Day 04. AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI - RANTHAMBORE (203 MILES)
This morning after an early breakfast we drive on to the city of Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the city of victory. It was built by Emperor Akbar but was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water.

We continue our surface journey to Ranthambore and upon arrival check in at The Oberoi Vanyavilas.

Nestling in the natural beauty of the wilds, The Oberoi Vanyavilas is India's leading luxury jungle resort on the edge of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. This is the perfect base from which to explore the territory of the majestic tiger. Tiger sightings are most frequent during the months of May and June. While it is warm during the day, mornings and evenings are pleasant. The resort setting is picture-perfect with a dramatic watercourse and sun-kissed private decks. The luxury tents with finely embroidered canopies, luxurious bathrooms and private walled gardens are in perfect contrast to the ruggedness of the jungle.

Ranthambore Day 05. IN RANTHAMBORE
In the early morning and early afternoon enjoy jungle safaris and view the great diversity of birds and mammals of this Tiger reserve. An English-speaking naturalist will accompany you at both times.

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (near Sawai Madhopur) is known for its spectacular scenery. The sanctuary is a system of lakes and rivers - hemmed by steep, craggy rocks and the remains of a hill, valley and open land, enhanced by structures that testify to a heroic past; with old guard posts, pavilions and ruins of palaces. There is a good chance of seeing one of the few, highly endangered Bengal Tigers still remaining in the park. The deep gorges of Ranthambore serve as hideouts for leopards, tigers and sloth bear. The park also provides a congenial habitat for the 'Chital'; or spotted deer and Sambar, the largest of the Asiatic deer.

Day 06. RANTHAMBORE - JAIPUR (122 MILES)
This morning enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then continue the surface journey to Jaipur. Upon arrival check in at the beautiful Oberoi Rajvilas.

Jaipur Day 07. IN JAIPUR
After breakfast we drive on to Amber Fort, where we will ascend to the fort on elephant back (depending on availability of elephants). Later we visit City Palace, which was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. It has been the principal residence for the Maharajas of Jaipur. The main attraction is its museum, which houses paintings, clothes and armories. Later visit Jantar Mantar (Observatory) and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Wind).

Evening enjoy a walk through the local markets of Jaipur and feel the pulse of the city around you.

Day 08. JAIPUR - UDAIPUR BY FLIGHT
This morning after breakfast, proceed to the airport to catch the flight to Udaipur. You will be met on arrival and escorted to the Hotel Oberoi Udaivilas where you will spend the next two nights.

Udaipur, in the heart of Rajasthan, is a city of majestic palaces and beautiful lakes. Here, adorning the banks of Lake Pichola and standing witness to the historic City Palace, The Oberoi Udaivilas captures all the romance and splendor of a royal era. The grand setting combined with palatial architecture and a beautiful spa offers an experience created exclusively for those who know there is nothing like too much luxury.

In the afternoon enjoy a city tour of Udaipur visiting City Palace, Crystal museum, Saheliyon ki Bari garden and Jagdish temple.

Udaipur Day 09. UDAIPUR - RANAKPUR - UDAIPUR
After breakfast, you will proceed to the beautiful Jain temples of Ranakpur.

Rana Kumbha built the temples at Ranakpur in 15 century AD. There are 1444 columns in all and they are intricately carved.

Enjoy an authentic vegetarian lunch at Maharani Bagh Orchards. Return to the hotel in the evening and relax.

Day 10. UDAIPUR - DELHI BY FLIGHT
Have a relaxed morning today. After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to connect to the afternoon flight to Delhi. You will be met on arrival and escorted to the hotel, The Oberoi, where you will be provided with a room till your final transfer to the International airport to connect to your flight for onward destination.

Day 11. LEAVE DELHI
Transfer to the airport in time to connect to the flight for onward destination.

Note: Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is closed due to the monsoon from 1st July till 30th September each year and on some days in the month of May and June for census study of tigers. If you so desire you can omit Ranthambore and proceed to Jaipur directly from Agra.
